We are a chartered member of NeighborWorks®, a nationwide network of 240 trained and certified community development organizations at work in more than 4,000 communities across America. Through NeighborWorks® we have access to financial resources, tools, training opportunities, and the experience of hundreds of colleagues from around the country who can help us make Idaho a better place to live.

Advancing Communities Home by Home


We opened our doors in 1982 as a three person staff focusing on revitalization activities in Boise's Vista neighborhood. Today we have 18 full-time staff dedicated to Advancing Communities Home by Home. We are proud to celebrate our accomplishments over the past 26 years:

• Developed 207 affordable multi-family units • Currently manages 380 affordable housing units • Built more than 100 single family affordable homes • Participates as general partner in an 80 unit senior multifamily community in Coeur'd Alene, Idaho • Coordinated over 76,000 volunteers for 2,718 Paint The Town™ projects • Coordinated over 93,000 volunteers for 11,790 Rake Up Boise™ projects • Originated over 620 first mortgages totaling $6.2 million • Financed 990 second mortgages leveraging over $90 million • Educated over 7,000 potential home buyers • Provided housing and social services to over 300 homeless families with children • Enhanced the quality of life for thousands neighborhood residents through revitalization activities
