We are a chartered member of NeighborWorks®, a nationwide network of 240 trained and certified community development organizations at work in more than 4,000 communities across America. Through NeighborWorks® we have access to financial resources, tools, training opportunities, and the experience of hundreds of colleagues from around the country who can help us make Idaho a better place to live.

Advancing Communities Home by Home


We opened our doors in 1982 as a three person staff focusing on revitalization activities in Boise's Vista neighborhood. Today we have over 20 full-time staff dedicated to Advancing Communities Home by Home. We are proud to celebrate our accomplishments over the past 26 years:

• Built nearly 130 affordable single family homes • Developed 208 multi-family units • Currently manage 380 housing units • Coordinated over 76,400 volunteers for 2,718 Paint The Town™ projects • Coordinated over 93,000 volunteers for 11,790 Rake Up Boise™ projects • Originated over 620 first mortgages totaling more than $62 million • Financed over 900 second mortgages leveraging over $90 million • Educated over 7,800 potential home buyers • Provided housing and social services to over 320 homeless families with children • Enhanced the quality of life for thousands of neighborhood residents through revitalization activities
