Neighborhood Housing Services has been awarded $5,000 from the Bank of America to support its affordable housing programs in Idaho.  The grant is part of a $22 million investment by Bank of America to build and rehab affordable housing, offer foreclosure prevention services and homeowner counseling, and provide other services intended to invigorate and rejuvenate neighborhoods.  NHS is proud to partner with Bank of America, whose investment will allow Idaho families in need to secure and maintain housing that is safe and affordable.

“In response to the many challenges facing our communities, we are focusing our philanthropic support on areas vital to advancing local economies,” said Bank of America Market President, Kurt Walsdorf. “The bank’s $26,000 investment in local nonprofits that help individuals and families regain financial stability through housing and other community development initiatives is one way we’re working to stabilize and advance in Idaho.”

Joe Swenson, CEO of Neighborhood Housing Services, said, “Bank of America has been a valuable partner to NHS for many years.  Their investment will enable us to help many more families have a quality, affordable home in our community.”
