Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) is pleased to have been selected as one of twelve primary beneficiaries of the 2006 Albertsons Boise Open, presented by First Health. The tournament began in 1990 and has since donated over $4.5 million to local non-profits that work to improve the lives of children and youth. NHS will use the Albertsons Boise Open funds to develop and implement a nutrition program, benefiting children living at NHS’ multi-family communities. The families served are low and moderate income and the nutrition program will teach the children how to plan and prepare healthy meals. Additionally, the children will be instructed on the importance of proper nutrition and its effect on their development. “We are so grateful to have been chosen as a beneficiary of the 2006 Albertsons Boise Open,” said NHS Executive Director, Tom Lay. “Albertsons Boise Open is an exceptional community partner and their generosity will allow us to continue our work to promote the well-being of the nearly 500 children living in our multi-family properties.” This year’s tournament will be held September 11th- 17th at the Hillcrest Country Club, located at 4610 Hillcrest Drive. Tickets can be purchased at www.albertsonsboiseopen.com. Please be sure to designate ‘Neighborhood Housing Services’ when purchasing tickets, as 100% of the ticket price is donated directly to NHS! A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Albertsons Boise Open! |
