Citi Cards Coordinates Warm Clothing Drive
for NHS’ Residents

Just in the nick of time…..residents of Neighborhood Housing Services’ affordable multifamily communities were all bundled up for last week’s cold weather, thanks to our generous neighbors at Meridian Citi Cards.

Meridian Citi Cards coordinated a Warm Clothing Drive for NHS residents as part of CitiGroup’s first “Global Community Day,” held in over 100 countries on November 18th, and involving nearly 35,000 volunteers! Citi’s generous employees donated over 450 items to the Warm Clothing Drive, including coats, sweaters, gloves, shoes, and many handmade hats and scarves!  These items were presented to NHS and later distributed to NHS’ multifamily residents. The families were thrilled, to say the least!  Also donated was $600, to be used for resident essential services.

In addition to conducting the Warm Clothing Drive, 200 Citi Cards employees and their families helped Rake Up Boise™.  This was their 9th year volunteering for the annual event and they raked 4 LARGE yards!

“Major corporations play a big role in enhancing the quality of life in our community,” said NHS Executive Director, Tom Lay. “Citi exemplifies this through their Global Community Day volunteer activities and their commitment to many community events, including our Rake Up Boise™ program.  NHS is proud to include Citi as a significant corporate partner and we thank them for their generosity.”

THANK YOU, CITI!
