Wells Fargo Foundation, a long-time supporter of Neighborhood Housing Services’ (NHS) work throughout Idaho, recently awarded a $17,500 grant to NHS. The check was presented at a luncheon hosted by Wells Fargo. About 30 Wells Fargo and NHS employees attended the celebration of the 25 year partnership.
The grant will help support NHS’ affordable housing program and Rake Up Boise™, a community service program. Each fall, nearly 5,000 volunteers participate in Rake Up Boise™, raking and winterizing yards for over 700 seniors and disabled Boise residents. Last year, Wells Fargo provided eight teams to help with the raking!
“Throughout our 25 year history, Wells Fargo has demonstrated their commitment to improving the quality of life in Idaho communities with financial and volunteer support for NHS programs,” stated Tom Lay, NHS Executive Director. “We are proud to have them as partners in our work.” |
